Vigan City, Ilocos Sur is one of the province in the Philippines. Vigan City is known as the "7 Wonder Cities of the World" and because of this Vigan City became famous. Vigan City is a World Heritage Site and it is well known for it's cobblestone streets, and a unique architecture. It is also one of the richest in terms of historical and cultural heritage.

In this month of September, Vigan City celebrates the World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival. This celebration has many activities and contest that will happen. This day actually commemorated with week-long festivities aimed at strengthening pride in the history and culture of Vigan. Vigan celebrates this with other cities all over the world that have world heritage sites. The purpose of this solidarity month is to unite everyone and this help everyone to rember the past cultures.

This celebration aims to strengthen Vigan's history and culture. The purpose of solidarity is to build the movement and to embody everyone with mutual care. This express unity. And it promotes friendship and strengthen the bond of everyone.

In every month of the year, there are many occasions that needed to be celebrate. One of the celebrations that we are going to celebrate is the Science Month Celebration that held in our school. The theme of this celebration is "Metabolize: Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards National Well-being".

This Science Month Celebration will encourage the students to become fascinated by the world we live in. This is being celebrated every year to spread a message about the importance of science. Science is important to our lives. And science is everywhere.

There are many activities, events, and programs that will be going to happen that teachers made. Students will participate in any activities and they will going to compete in any competitions. There are many activities such as Sci Quiz, Sci tricks, G. and Bb. Kalikasan, Photo essay, Battle of Bottles and many more. One of the activities that I join with my classmates are the Sci Quiz and Sci tricks. In this event, we learn and we gain new knowledge. And Sci tricks is fun.

This month is enjoyable. This Science Month Celebration  help us to enhance our skills. This activities are not only created to  make us fun but it's created to make us learn.

School is Not Only a Place To Learn

School is the place where we study. There are many main purpose why we go to school. One is we go to school to learn and to gain new knowledge. School also teaches us many things that will be useful in the future.

The Department of Education had launched the “Happy School Movement”. The Movement seeks to upgrade all schools to be a fun and enjoyable place. School is not just a place to learn. When you go to school its needed that you should have fun and you love what you are doing. A healthy learning environment is what need of all students. This will help them to concentrate in their studies. Teachers should not tolerate bullies in school. Because if one student is being bullied it might can cause him to not concentrate in his studies. This movement creates an environment where students can freely voice out and express themselves and promote learning in an easy way. This program became an eye-opener to everyone that students must have taken care and loved. Make our school a child-friendly haven. Teachers need an action plan to ensures that all students will become success in the future.

Happy school movement is indeed a good advocacy to all schools. We should see to it that all students will be able to have fun. Teachers must teach every student to learn. Keep in our mind that a school without bullies and violence is a good place.  Remember that children are now will soon rule the future.
